Wild Style is a celebrated cult movie that is often hailed as a milestone of the hip-hop culture.

Starring NY graffiti artist Lee Quiñones as the protagonist, as well as featuring icons such as The Rock Steady Crew and The Cold Crush Brothers, this film helped to solidify the roots of hip-hop and highlight its main legendary four elements: MCing, Breakdancing, DJing and Graffiti tagging.

To put the importance of the film into context, RUN-DMC dropped their debut single “Sucker MCs” and hip-hop started to become a mass phenomenon as the film was being released, effectively turning into a true time capsule of the break out of rap music.

If you are looking for an insight on this pivotal era of music, don't miss the movie and all the legendary artists featured within. Want to take it further? Join our art of the DJ class to get in the groove.
